Harry Potter HBO Series 13 NEW Photos Revealed
The plot is thickening for the Harry Potter HBO series as 13 new official photos have just been released. These images give us our best look yet at the reimagined world of Hogwarts and the cast that will bring it to life.

The Hogwarts Faculty and Ancient Aesthetics
One of the most striking things about these new photos is the “Hogwarts Legacy” style of the castle. The production is leaning heavily into a nature focused aesthetic that feels thousands of years old.
- John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore: He is seen in stunning purple robes and half moon spectacles exactly as described in the novels.
- Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall: Her look is spot on with gray streaks in her hair and cat like glasses that mirror her animagus form.
- The New Snape Aesthetic: Papa Essiedu is seen as Severus Snape in a leather jacket and cape combo that feels very “vampire like.”
A Deeper Look at the Trio and the Burrow
It appears the series will expand on the early chapters of the books by showing us how each character received their Hogwarts letter.
- Ron at the Burrow: We see a nervous Alistair Stout as Ron Weasley sitting in the Burrow kitchen. The background shows magic dishes washing themselves in the sink which confirms we are getting a more detailed look at the Weasley household.
- Hermione in Transfiguration: Arabella Stanton perfectly captures the frizzy hair and eager personality of Hermione Granger. She is shown in a classroom filled with animal posters which suggests she is already earning points from Professor McGonagall.
- Harry in Diagon Alley: The look of pure wonder on Dominic McLachlan’s face as he enters the magical world for the first time is heartwarming. It captures that “Human Content” emotional hook that makes the story so timeless.
Production Design and Book Accuracy
The attention to detail in the “90s coded” muggle world continues to impress critics.
- The Hogwarts Express: The train looks beautiful against the Hogsmeade backdrop.
- The Forbidden Forest: We get a glimpse of Snape confronting Professor Quirrell in the forest which is a key scene from the books that often felt rushed in other adaptations.
- Uniform Variations: The addition of the “H” Hogwarts patch on all student robes is another interesting departure from the film style.
