The Trailer Raised More Questions Than It Answered
On paper this should be a slam dunk. A $250 million budget, Christopher Nolan directing his most ambitious project ever, shot entirely on IMAX cameras across Greece, Morocco, and Italy, and a cast that includes Matt Damon as Odysseus, Tom Holland as Telemachus, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, and Charlize Theron.
- Trailer that dropped on May 5, 2026, didn’t exactly inspire confidence. The dialogue felt modern and out of place for an ancient Greek epic. The costumes and armor drew immediate criticism for being historically inaccurate. The boats looked more Viking than ancient Greek.
